MWH Soft Scholarship for Outstanding Engineering Project

Looking for a few good students who have the desire and ability
to succeed in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering!
 
The MWH Soft Scholarship for Outstanding Engineering Project was established to reward qualified engineering students from around the world for distinguished achievements and contributions to the field of water resources engineering.

Typical scholarships range from $500 to $3,000. A similar amount may be awarded to the student's faculty advisor. All scholarship awards and software use privileges for the project are subject to MWH Soft approval at its sole discretion.

Eligibility:
  • Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited University.
  • Have a strong record of academic achievement.
  • The Student Faculty Advisor and one additional faculty member must endorse the application.
  • The scholarship will be awarded only to those students who will employ them to continue their formal undergraduate or graduate education in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for this award.

Selection Criteria:

The scholarship recipient will be selected based on the technical quality and practical application of the student project as related to the advancement in water resources engineering. The project paper must incorporate the use of an MWH Soft software product. Project papers will be judged on their original content and contribution to the profession.

Application:

One copy of the project along with a cover letter are to be submitted to the address shown below. The accompanying letter must include:

  • A statement by the applicant of the reasons believed to justify an award to him or her
  • Statement of appraisal of the applicant in terms of potential for growth, academic standing, character, leadership capacity and interests from the Faculty Advisor and one additional member of the faculty
  • Transcript record of academic performance and standing
  • Work Experience: List the part-time and summer employment you have held since entering college
  • Professional Activities & Memberships: List professional activities and memberships (other than jobs) that you have been involved in during college
  • Activities: List your on-campus and off-campus extracurricular activities (other than jobs) in the order of interest to you, that you have been involved in since entering college
  • Honors: List any special honors and scholarships you have won, either in or out of school, since you have entered college.

All applications must be endorsed by an MWH Soft Business Partner.
