MWH Soft introduced Generation V4.5 - A major new version upgrade with scores of powerful and useful new features and functionality is now available free of charge to all Club MWH Soft member subscribers. Selected key new features and capabilities are listed below.

Skeletonizer

Manual skeletonization process allowing to preview changes before they are committed
Merge dissimilar pipes in series (pipes with different diameters) while preserving system demands
Parallel pipe merging
Compute equivalent diameter or equivalent roughness coefficient based on hydraulic equivalency
Protect selected elements from skeletonization based on any user desired criteria (e.g., do not skeletonize pipes in series that have a diameter difference greater than a specified value)
Graphically preview skeletonization candidates individually before proceeding
Generate a detailed skeletonization history element report (series and parallel pipe merging and dead-end/branch trimming)
Perform multiple skeletonization runs
Save skeletonization settings
Demand weighted allocation (proportional to existing demands)

H2OMAP Sewer

Complete backwater calculations to determine the impact of surcharging conditions
Flow/Hydrograph attenuation as a result of friction (resistance), internal storage and diffusion along the sewer pipes using a distributed Muskingum-Cunge flow routing method based on diffusion analogy, which is capable of accurately predicting hydrograph attenuation or peak flow damping effects (peak subsidence)
Time of Concentration to model the changes in the age of sewage flow throughout a collection system, to help identify the potential for high sulfide concentration, which manifest itself in corrosion and odor issues
Source Tracing that tracks over time what percent of sewage reaching any pipe or manhole in the network had its origin at a particular source node - very useful tool for tracking changes in sewage flow contribution (and associated constituents) over space and time such as predicting the impact of industrial and commercial waste discharges at the treatment plant or within the collection system
User defined peaking curve

H2OMAP Water

Ability to review fire flow pipe and system results for each fire node
Complete Geodatabase support
Interpolate between contour lines to compute node elevation
Interpolate node elevation from survey points
Model variable speed pump anywhere in the network
Model any in-line booster stations as variable speed pumps
Variable speed pump need NOT be connected to a tank or reservoir
Variable speed pumps can maintain target pressure/head anywhere in the network
Variable speed pumps can work in conjunction with simple and logic (rule based) controls
Use an exact analytical solution for variable speed pump (very fast and robust)
Model vacuum breaker valves
