In a time when the speed of communicating critical information can mean the difference between safety and catastrophe, MWH Soft and Avtex (www.avtex.com) announce a strategic partnership to offer the waterworks industry the tool that enables water utilities to quickly deliver vital information to their customers at critical times.

Under this agreement, both H2OMAP and InfoWater have been enhanced to automatically export the information required by Avtex's CityWatch alert notification system to send thousands of alert and other important messages to telephones, cell phones, pagers (text/numeric), e-mail addresses, fax machines, wireless devices, PDA's, SMS devices, and more within minutes.

This milestone solution equips municipal water utilities; city and county public works departments; and federal, state, and local emergency response and regulatory agencies with expanded power and flexibility in estimating and managing the consequences of a terrorist attack or a crisis event on their drinking water supply infrastructures. It also maximizes their effectiveness in protecting public health during alert situations by enabling them to quickly locate areas of their systems affected by a contamination or water main break, and instantly communicate critical information to personnel and affected customers. The new application can also be effectively used to identify viable solutions before an incident or disaster occurs.
