InfoWater WQ Calibrator sets a new standard in automated water quality model calibration. With point-and-click simplicity, you can command the latest advances in Genetic Algorithms and Global Search control strategies to optimally adjust pipe wall reaction coefficients to provide a rigorously calibrated water quality model and best reflect actual water quality conditions in the distribution system. Both first-order and zero-order kinetic reactions at the pipe wall can be considered. The first-order wall model might best represent a process in which chlorine is the limiting reactant, as might be the case with reactions involving complex organic compounds that are found in exocellular enzymes and metabollic products produced by biofilm on the pipe wall. The zero-order model would better represent the case in which chlorine immediately oxidizes some reductant (such as ferrous compound) and the rate is dependent on how fast the reductant is produced by the pipe. This mechanism would more likely apply to corrosion-induced reactions.

InfoWater WQ Calibrator minimizes the difference between site-specific field measurements (residual concentration data) and model concentration predictions for any continuous dynamic simulation (EPS) to provide the best calibration possible. You can even disaggregate the network model into separate logical calibration groups based on the known physical characteristics of the associated pipes (e.g., material, age, diameter, location) and seamlessly interface with the InfoWater to evaluate their fitness under various demand loading and operating conditions and to maximize efficiency. All in a seamlessly integrated and extremely rich graphical presentation environment, making water quality model calibration an enjoyable and friendly task.
