The field journal (flush book) consists of a series
of graphical maps and technical data sheets to guide
field personnel in implementing the optimal sequence
of unidirectional flushing. For each flushing zone analyzed
by InfoWater UDF, the field journal graphically shows
for each flush sequence the fire hydrants and valves
that need to be manipulated for systematic, unidirectional
cleaning. It also reports important information such
as pressure and flow, flushing volume, flushing duration,
and water quality.
The field journal contains all the information a water
utility requires to effectively implement an optimal
unidirectional flushing program for maximum cleaning
and at maximum cost savings.
